| Planes I actually FLY. . . |
| I often get asked "what kind of planes do you fly?" Well, I'm posting this page to help explain that. . . Since I began flying 'professionally' (i.e. building flight time towards "THE" job) in June 2003, after graduation in May, I have flown Cessna 182s as a "Jumper Dumper" (dropped skydivers) for Skydive Opelika, which was fun and, contrary to common belief, a very good learning experience. Currently my title is "Delivery Pilot" for Premier Aircraft Sales, where I fly quite a variety of new (Mooney and Diamond) and used (Cessna, Piper, etc.) aircraft. "Job 1" Skydive Opelika: Quite the experience, I must say. The flying could get monotonous on occasion, as it was up-down, up-down, up-down all day, but there was a learning curve, none-the-less. "Job 2" Premier Aircraft Sales: My more professional position came in November 2003 when I began flying for Premier Aircraft Sales. The home office is based in Ft. Lauderdale, FL at Executive Airport (FXE), although I had the 'hook-up' for the Auburn (AUO) office. I have enjoyed this job in many ways, the travel (I go to London, Ontario, Canada to pick up brand new Diamonds), the variety of aircraft I am priviledged to fly and the people which I have been able to deal with are all vast learning experiences. Within just a few hours' time I have gone from a Piper Saratoga to a Diamond DA-40 to a Mooney Ovation, and back. "Job 3" Coming soon. . . |
